What's Happening Now?

It's Time to CELEBRATE!

We’ve just passed our first year of ministry in the MAC!  Our opportunity to use the MAC for outreach and engagement with our community is being realized more and more as each season passes. In January we’ll be hosting our second season of Upward Basketball as well as sports with the Big Picture School and Jubilee Reach. On alternate Thursdays, the Children’s Ministry hosts mom’s and kids for some great indoor playtime and even greater connection time between moms at Toddler Time. Men from the church connect with each other on the basketball courts every Sunday night and our Indian Fellowship has now hosted multiple volleyball tournaments and welcomed hundreds into the church building. We’ve hosted an illusionist who captured the attention of our kids while sharing the Gospel and we’ve packed meals to feed 100,000 people. And let’s not forget the ways the MAC is used every single week by our core ministries to serve our children and students.

To say we’re off to a good start with ministry in the Ministry Activity Center would be an understatement! We are so excited to see what God is doing and how this facility is just starting to help us get to know our neighbors better.

Thanks to your generous giving, we are less than $350,000 away from paying off our financial obligations for the MAC! We thank God for the faithfulness of his people who see and share in the vision of Crossroads and our commitment to greater connection and living out our mission in our community. The finish line is in sight so we pray for continued support to finish well. You can make designated gifts in the offering boxes around the worship center or give anytime with our online giving.

Over a decade ago, Crossroads Bible Church moved from our location on NE 8th to our current building. The ministry was growing fast and we needed room to grow and expand. Since then, ministry here has continued to grow and we’re once again feeling the impact of needing more room and an appropriate space for children and youth activities.

Thus, God has led Crossroads leadership, prayerfully and unanimously, to build a Ministry Activity Center (the MAC) to expand our space for ministry at CBC.

The MAC is a 22,000 square feet addition to the south end of the building containing a full basketball court, 6 classrooms, a foyer and café area. There are many features within the MAC designed to meet the needs of our church and community. This will provide the space needed to engage the next generation in creative ways as well as outreach opportunities for our community.
