FALL SEMESTER

OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY

Begins September 8 | 6-9 pm | Fireside Room

This Old Testament Survey course explores the unfolding of God's single, unified promise-plan to redeem and bless all nations through His chosen people and the coming Messiah. Rather than a collection of disconnected stories, the Old Testament is presented as a cohesive narrative in which God progressively reveals His covenant purposes—from the foundational promises to Abraham, through Israel's history, to the prophetic hope of a coming King. Students will trace this divine plan through each major section of the Hebrew Scriptures, gaining a deeper understanding of how every book contributes to God's unchanging commitment to restore His creation through the line of David and ultimately fulfill His redemptive promise in Christ.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
  1. Articulate the “big picture” of the Old Testament or any of its parts for the understanding of the New Testament.
  2. Share the major events and people of the Old Testament.
  3. Share the purpose of each Old Testament book and its impact on a contemporary believer.
